Dark Blite Mite

This collective of parasitic mites feeds on the life essence and emotions of their prey. Slowly sapping them of there will to do anything, leaving them helpless as they are added to the ever-growing pile for the brood. Once deceased, the mites make short work of removing the flesh and adding the skull to their nest, dissolving and pasting bits together to make a macabre shell to raise their young. Often used by necromancers and liches for the concentrated magical essence they produce after feasting on living prey, a potent ingredient for many of their dark arts.
